Carol Aji, Jakarta – The Jakarta Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) has condemned the doxing of Business Indonesia journalist Ni Luh Anggela after she wrote an article on increased Israeli trade with Indonesia.

The perpetrator, using Instagram account @greschinov, shared the victim's personal data through an upload on her Instagram account in the form of screenshots from Anggela's social media account that contained photos and the full name of the victim.

In the upload, the perpetrator also created a narrative accusing Anggela of producing journalistic products with manipulated data.

The incident occurred after Anggela wrote an article on the bisnis.com economic channel reporting on data showing an increase in the value of imports from Israel to Indonesia. The article was published on June 20, 2024 (https://ekonomi.bisnis.com/read/20240620/12/1775427/impor-ri-dari-israel-makin-menyala-kenaikannya-tembus-1204).

The perpetrators then uploaded content that questioned Anggela's article on Tuesday June 25. The upload contained five points in the form of screenshots and a narration from the perpetrator.

Initially, the perpetrator questioned the truth of Anggela's article because they were unable to find the data used in the author's article on the National Statistics Agency (BPS) official website.

In the end, the perpetrator claimed the data used was invalid, while attaching a screenshot from the Anggela's social media page.
