The praise was conveyed by Trump after Prabowo congratulated Trump on his re-election as US president. This telephone call was uploaded by Prabowo on his Instagram account on Monday November 11.
During the conversation, Trump expressed his admiration for Prabowo's English language skills.
"Great job you're doing in Indonesia. Great, great job. Proud of you, and your English is so good", said Trump (original text in English).
"Yes, Sir. All my training is American, Sir", replied Prabowo.
Trump also declared his desire to visit Indonesia in the future. He again praised Prabowo as a highly respected person.
"Whenever you're around, you let me know. I'd like to also get to your country sometime. It's incredible. The job that you're doing is incredible. You're such a respected, you're a very respected person", said Trump.
"Thank you, Sir. I'll try to call on you at your convenience, if it's possible", responded Prabowo.
Trump then invited Prabowo to contact him at any time saying he was honoured to have been able to speak to him and couldn't wait to meet him in person.
"Please send your people to the people of Indonesia. My regards, that I have great respect for them and for you", said Trump.
