Muhammad Rafi Azhari, Jakarta – The Greater Bandung Labor Alliance (ABBR) held a demonstration to articulate their struggle on International Labour Day or May Day at the Cikapayang Dago Park in the West Java capital of Bandung.

Ridwan Abdul Malik, Bandung – The Greater Bandung Labour Alliance (ABBR) held a demonstration commemorating International Labour Day or May Day which fell on Monday May 1.

International Labour Day 2022 was commemorated by the Labour Party as a "May Day Fiesta" at the Bung Karno Sports Stadium (GBK) in Jakarta on May 14. An estimated 30-60 thousand workers attended the fiesta. Even if the lower estimate of 30,000 is used it shows an increase in mass mobilisations.

There has never been any democracy for the Papuan people! We continue to be shown the very tangible distain for the democratic rights of the Papuan people. With every day that passes the space for free expression for the Papuan people continues to shrink.
