Larius Kogoya, Jayapura – The West Papua National Committee or KNPB firmly rejects the revival of the transmigration program in Papua. The KNPB is aware that Papuans will be sidelined, so transmigration must be rejected.

Dandy Koswaraputra and Pizaro Gozali Idrus – A senior journalist who often covers human rights violations in Papua says that a bomb exploded near his home on Monday. Independent journalists groups say the incident was intimidation and threatens press freedom.

The two flags were flown in the midst of the crowd of Karma's sympathisers.

Jakarta – Two students were reportedly injured today when they were blocked by police during a long-march in the provincial capital of Jayapura opposing new autonomous regions (DOB) in Papua. The police meanwhile have denied this.

Jakarta – The Jayapura municipal police have declared 20 people accused of being Free Papua sympathisers as suspects on charges of makar (treason, subversion, rebellion). The 20 are part of a group of 34 Free Papua sympathisers who were arrested by a joint team from the Jayapura municipal police on Saturday November 30.

Benny Mawel, Jayapura – Police have arrested scores of protesters at a demonstration organised by the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) as they were gathering at Sentani Post 7 in Jayapura.

Jayapura – The Papua provincial government has explicitly refuted a statement by the Papua regional police chief that residents have been taken hostage by an Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in the villages of Banti and Kimbely near the PT Freeport Indonesia mine in Tembagapura district, Mimika regency.

Jayapura – Mimika District Police Chief Assistance Superintendent Victor Dean Mackbon has denied that residents of the Kimbely and Banti villages are being held hostage by an Armed Criminal Group (KKB).
