Goklas Wisely, Medan – Scores of students in Medan city descended upon the North Sumatra (Sumut) Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) on Thursday January 26 to protest the Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) that was issued last year to replace the Omnibus Law on Job Creation.

Fika Nurul Ulya, Jakarta – Late last year, President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo issued Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) Number 2/2022 to replace Law Number 11/2020 on the Job Creation Law, after the law was declared conditionally unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court in November 2021.

Jakarta – The Civil Society Coalition, which is made up of 55 different organisations, has issued an ultimatum to President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo and the House of Representatives (DPR) demanding that they revoke Government Regulation in Lieu of Law Number 2/2022 on the Job Creation Law (Perppu Ciptaker) within the next seven days.

Jakarta – The Labour Movement with the People (Gebrak) held a protest action in front of the House of Representatives (DPR) building in Jakarta on January 10 to articulate its opposition to the recently issued Government Regulation in Lieu Of Law (Perppu) to replace the Omnibus Law on Jobs Creation.

Jakarta – Indonesian Trade Union Congress Alliance Confederation (KASBI) Chairperson Nining Elitos says that Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) Number 2/2022 on the Job Creation Law (Ciptaker) that was recently issued by President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is nothing more than a manipulation of the public by the government.
