Chandra Iswinarno – A commemoration of International Labour Day which was held at the Imbi Park in Jayapura, Papua, was only allowed to proceed for around 30 minutes. Nevertheless, the protesters who came from the Papuan Labour Movement (GBP) were still able to articulate a number of demands.

The action began with a convoy to the East Java governor’s office in the provincial capital of Surabaya to convey their demands at this year’s May Day.
Semarang – Hundreds of students, ordinary people and social groups joined the Indonesian Trade Union Congress Alliance (KASBI) and took to the streets of the East Java provincial capital of Semarang on Wednesday May 1 to commemorate International Labour Day.
Denpasar – Hundreds of protesters from the Balinese United Labour Movement (GBBB) alliance commemorated International Labour Day or May Day with a peaceful action in front of the Bali governor’s office in the provincial capital of Denpasar on Wednesday May 1.
