Jakarta – Students from the Trisakti University held a demonstration in the vicinity of the parliamentary complex in Central Jakarta on Friday May 17.

Susilo Yekti – The increase in Single Tuition Fees (UKT) at a number of state universities (PTN) has and triggered a wave of protests by students and attracted attention from many parties who say that the increase is not pro-education.

Surabaya – The Surabaya Muhammadiyah University (UM) academic community held a defend Palestine action on the campus grounds on Tuesday May 7 in which lectures and students were united wearing black clothing and carrying Palestinian flags.

Jakarta – The Jakarta Muhammadiyah University (UMJ) academic community held a defend Palestine action at the UMJ Plaza in Jakarta on Tuesday May 7.

Solo – The Muhammadiyah University Surakarta (UMS) in Central Java held a peaceful defend Palestine rally on the grounds of the Siti Walidah Campus 2 main building on Tuesday May 7. The action was joined by thousands of campus residents ranging from the chancellor to lecturers, university employees and students.

Jakarta – The commemoration of the National Education Day (Hardiknas) this year was marked by a number of demonstrations by students and social organisations (ormas) in different parts of the country.

Yogyakarta – Crowds of participants at a "Gejayan Calling Again" action in the Central Java city of Yogyakarta held a theatrical beheading of President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo to symbolise resistance to the Widodo regime.

FX Harminanto, Sleman – Hundreds of students from a number of different universities gathered at the Gejayan intersection near the Gaja Mada University (UGM) in the Central Java city of Yogyakarta to participate in a Gejayan Calling (Gejayan Menanggil) action on Monday February 12.

Solo – Hundreds of students demonstrated in front of the Town Hall in Solo, Central Java, on Thursday February 8, in a counter rally against a "Kiss Gibran's Hand Action" that was held by a group of people two days earlier.
