Icha Rastika, Jakarta – The results of a Poltracking survey show that 30 percent of those who voted for Prabowo Subianto in the 2019 presidential elections (Pilpres) will switch to the Coalition for Change presidential ticket of Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (Anies-Muhaimin).
This was conveyed by Poltracking Executive Director Hanta Yudha in the release of the results of the survey that was conducted between October 28 and November 3.
"Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno voters in the 2019 Pilpres, 30 percent will vote for Anies-Muhaimin", said Yudha in a press release on Friday October 10.
Meanwhile the presidential ticket of former Central Java governor Ganjar Pranowo and Coordinating Security, Politics and Legal Affairs Minister Mahfud MD will only pick up 9.6 percent of Prabowo's vote. 4.2 percent of respondents did not answer.
In the case of those who voted for President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo and Ma'ruf Amin in 2019, many will give their vote to Pranowo and Mahfud. "The spread of votes going to Ganjar-Mahfud is 47.2 percent", said Yudha in the press release on Friday.
Meanwhile 27.2 percent of Widodo-Amin voters in 2019 will vote for Prabowo and Gibran Rakabuming Raka ticket. "And Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar will only get 19.2 percent", he said.
The remaining 6.4 percent of respondents did not know or did not answer.
The Poltracking survey used a multistage random sampling method with a sample size of 1,220 respondents. The survey claimed to have a 2.9 percent margin of error and a 95 percent level of confidence.
The survey population represented citizens who are eligible to vote, are 17 years or older or are already married.
The survey used face-to-face interviews with respondents chosen over the period October 28 and November 3. Poltracking claimed that the funding for the series of surveys came from their own internal sources.
