Kurniawan Fadilah, Jakarta – Labour group held an protest action in the Horse Statue area of Central Jakarta today demanding that Government Regulation (PP) Number 21/2024 on the Public Housing Savings (Tapera) program be revoked.

Rachel Caroline L. Toruan, Medan – Hundreds of protesters from labour groups held a demonstration to commemorate International Labour Day at the North Sumatra Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) building. This was confirmed by action coordinator Tony Rickson Silalahi on Wednesday May 1.

Jayapura – The commemoration of International Human Rights Day on December 10 was marked by protest actions across Papua. In many places rallies had only just began when police disbursed the actions. Scores of people were arrested and detained at local police stations.

Jakarta – The legal team representing Indonesian People’s Front for West Papua (FRI-WP) spokesperson Surya Anta has confirmed that their client was arrested by police at a shopping centre in Jakarta on the evening of Saturday August 31. Anta was arrested on charges of treason (makar).
