Manado – In the lead up to International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8, a number of organisations in Manado, North Sulawesi, have joined together in the Civil Society Coalition Against Sexual Violence (KMSAKS) to hold actions supporting the Draft Law on the Elimination of Sexual Violence (RUU PKS).

Almost one thousand women workers from the IndustriALL Indonesia Council Women’s Committee commemorated International Women’s Day (IWD) on the road in front of the House of Representatives (DPR) in Jakarta on Thursday March 8.

Today, Thursday March 8, is commemorated as International Women’s Day (IWD). IWD action coordinator Jumisih said that the women’s should not be banned from wearing an Islamic veil on campus.
