Bandung – Thousands of workers held a protest action against the recent fuel (BBM) price hike in front of the Gedung Sate building (governor's office) in the West Java (Jabar) provincial capital of Bandung on Wednesday September 21.

Jakarta – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo met with Confederation of the All-Indonesian Workers Union (KSPSI) President Andi Gani Nena Wea and Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI) President Said Iqbal at the Presidential Palace in Bogor, West Java, on Monday September 30.

Roni Afriyanto, Karawang – Around 3 thousand workers demonstrated in Karawang, West Java, on August 13 against planned revisions to the Law Number 13/2003 on Labour. In addition to the protest, the workers also handed out leaflets inviting the public to reject the revision which will further oppress workers.

Jakarta – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo held a meeting with trade unions leaders in the Garuda Room at the Bogor Presidential Palace in West Java on Friday April 26. Widodo was accompanied by Labour Minister Hanif Dhakiri and Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko.
