Jakarta – The Indonesia Ulama Council (MUI) has spoken out over the Miss Queen Beauty pageant which took place in Bali on September 30 saying that Miss Queen Pageants are not allowed in Indonesia because transgender is haram (forbidden under Islamic law) and a disgrace.

Fahreza Rizky, Jakarta – Vice President Ma'ruf Amin has admitted to proposing that places of worship not be closed during the emergency Enforcement of Restrictions on Public Activities (PPKM). The proposal was made based on the wishes of ulama (Islamic leaders) and religious figures.
