Jakarta – West Java Deputy Governor Uu Ruzhanul Ulum is proposing that husbands be allowed to be polygamous in order to bring down the number of HIV/AIDS sufferers among housewives. He said that religion does not prohibit husbands from practicing polygamy.

Makassar – The South Sulawesi branch of Indonesia's peak Islamic body the Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) believes that the Makassar Fashion Week phenomena has the potential to damage the younger generation's morals because the clothing worn is not in accordance with Islamic law (syariat Islam).

Jakarta – Artist Dinar Candy held a protest action over the extension of Enforcement of Restrictions on Public Activities (PPKM) by wearing a bikini on the side of a road in Jakarta. During the action, Candy also brought a banner with the message, "I'm stressed out because the PPKM has been extended".

The hotel was also sealed off because its operational license expired in 2018.

Banda Aceh – Residents of Kuta Alam in the Acehnese provincial capital of Aceh have caught a gay couple having same-sex relations at a boarding house. The possible existence of a wider gay community is also being investigated.
