Jakarta – An action in front of the United Nations representative office in Jakarta by Papuan activists commemorating 61 years since the Triple Commands of the People (Trikora) military operation was forcibly broken up by members of a group calling themselves the "Defend the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia" (Bela NKRI).

Rumondang Naibaho, Jakarta – The Papua Student Alliance (AMP) has shrugged off accusations that protesters threw rocks at police during a demonstration near the Horse Statue in Central Jakarta yesterday. The AMP believes that the accusations are designed to paint the demonstration in a bad light.

Jakarta – The families of victims of the 2014 Paniai massacre in Papua have sent a letter to the United Nations (UN), which has its head office in Geneva, Switzerland.

Jakarta – The Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (Kontras) has noted discrepancies in the chronology presented by the public prosecutor (JPU) and the results of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) investigation into the 2014 Paniai massacre.

Jonh Roy Purba, Jayapura – The Morning Star independence flag and the flag of the pro-independence West Papua National Committee (KNPB) was flown when the body of West Papua activist Filep Jacob Samuel Karma was taken to be buried on Wednesday November 2. The two flags were flown in the midst of the crowd of Karma's sympathisers.

Jakarta – Amnesty International Indonesia Executive Director Usman Hamid is urging the government to investigate the cause of Filep Karma's death. The call was made after the Papua activist was found dead on Base G Beach in Jayapura on Tuesday November 1.

Jayapura – The witnesses testimonies by Polri (Indonesian police officers) that were presented during the hearings into the 2014 Paniai massacre case at the Makassar District Court in South Sulawesi on Wednesday September 28, reinforce the grounds for the Attorney General and the court not to just prosecute a single defendant.
